WELCOME FATHER NICK!

St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish is delighted to welcome Rev. Nicholas Melo as he begins his ministry with our parish this summer. Fr. Nick brings with him many years of priestly ministry in the Archdiocese of Hartford, most recently he served as pastor of Christ the King Parish in Wethersfield. Throughout his priesthood, he has been known for his welcoming spirit, strong commitment to parish life, and devotion to building vibrant faith communities. We are grateful to God for sending Father Nick to serve our parish family and look forward to the gifts, enthusiasm, and pastoral care he will bring to our community. Please join us in extending a warm welcome to Father Nick and keep him in your prayers as he begins this new chapter of priestly ministry. May the Holy Spirit guide and strengthen him, and may St. Maximilian Kolbe, The Blessed Virgin Mary, St. Thomas, and St. Casimir intercede for him as he serves the people of our parish. As Fr. Nick transitions into his new assignment, he will be taking a previously scheduled vacation from July 7 – July 22. Please note that there will be no daily Masses during this period. Weekend Masses will be celebrated as regularly scheduled, with Rev. George Couturier serving as the celebrant. We look forward to welcoming Fr. Couturier and ask that you welcome him and keep him in your prayers.
