About Our Program

At St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish, Faith Formation is a lifelong journey of growing in relationship with Jesus Christ and deepening our understanding of the Catholic faith. Our program partners with parents, who are the primary educators of their children in the faith, to help form disciples who know, love, and serve God.

We offer faith formation opportunities for children and youth from kindergarten through ninth grade, providing age-appropriate instruction rooted in Sacred Scripture, Sacred Tradition, prayer, and the teachings of the Catholic Church. Through classroom learning, prayer experiences, service opportunities, and participation in parish life, students are encouraged to grow in faith and become active members of the church.

Sacramental Preparation

Our Faith Formation program includes preparation for the Sacraments of Reconciliation, First Holy Communion, and Confirmation. Families are expected to participate fully in both classroom instruction and parish worship throughout the preparation process.

Vacation Bible School

Eaxh summer, St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish offers a week-long Vacation Bible School (VBS) program for children. Through Bible stories, music, crafts, games, prayer, and fellowship, children are invited to grow in their faith while having fun in a welcoming and faith-filled environment. Vacation Bible School is a wonderful opportunity for children to deepen their relationship with Jesus and build friendships within our parish community.

Family Involvement

Faith is best nurtured in the home. We encourage parents and guardians to take an active role in their child’s faith journey by attending Mass regularly, praying together as a family, and participating in parish activities and events.
